Island-wide Resource Pool Established to Strengthen State Land Management through e-Slims

An island-wide resource pool has been established to expand state land–related activities under the State Land Information and Management System (e-Slims). This initiative aims to enhance the efficiency and coverage of land administration across the country.

The training program for the resource pool is being carried out in four phases. The first phase was conducted on 15 and 16 October 2025 at the Ratmalana Land Information and Management Training Center, under the guidance of the Land Commissioner General.


A program on conducting Land Kachcheri through the eSlims System was held on 25–26 September 2025 for the subject officers of the Inter-Provincial Land Commissioner's Office in Trincomalee at their office premises.


Land Commissioner General’s Department Crowned Champions in Women’s Softball Cricket Tournament 2025

The Land Commissioner General's Department emerged victorious at the 2025 Women’s Softball Cricket Tournament, organized by the Sri Lanka Public Service Sports Association, after defeating the Panadura Divisional Secretariat team in the thrilling final.

Adding to the triumph, the department’s captain Asha Gajanayake was named Player of the Tournament for her outstanding all-round performance. Meanwhile, Dilani Jayawardena, also representing the Land Commissioner General's Department, secured the title of Best Batsman of the Tournament.


The Uva Provincial Land Commissioner’s Department successfully conducted a two-day training workshop on September 18–19, 2025, at the Uva Management Training Center. The program brought together Land Officers, Colonization Officers, and Subject Officers from all Divisional Secretariats of the province. The sessions were facilitated by resource persons from the Land Commissioner General’s Department, who provided expertise on the theoretical aspects of state land disposition on a long-term lease basis, as well as circulars related to lease calculations.


A training program to inform the Land Officers, Colonisation Officers and the subject officers assigned with land related duties in all the Divisional Secretariats of UVA Province on updating the lease ledger, forwarding lease recommendations and issuing annual permits through the eSlims System, was conducted on 18 and 19th Sep. 2025 at the District Development Training Centre at Passara, Palgahathenna.

The event was organized by the Provincial Land Commissioner’s Department of Uva Province, with the support and expertise of the Land Commissioner General’s Department.


A program to inform the Divisional Secretaries and Assistant Divisional Secretaries of Matale District on the preparation of the Land Database, updating and maintaining the lease ledger through the State Land Information Management System, and the proposed digital lease payment initiative was conducted on 10.09.2025 at the Management Development Training Unit of Matale District.

The event was organized by the Provincial Land Commissioner’s Department of the Central Province, with the support and expertise of the Land Commissioner General’s Department.


A program to brief Divisional Secretaries and Assistant Divisional Secretaries of Kandy District on the preparation of the Land Database, updating and maintaining the lease ledger through the State Land Information Management System, and the proposed digital lease payment initiative was conducted on 4 September 2025 at the Training Center of the Provincial Education Department, Gurudeniya.

The event was organized by the Provincial Land Commissioner’s Department of the Central Province, with the support and expertise of the Land Commissioner General’s Department.


A two-day training program on using the State Land Information Management System to submit annual permits, long-term lease recommendations, and update and maintain the lease ledger, organized by the Provincial Land Commissioner’s Department of Sabaragamuwa Province was held on 02nd and 03rd September 2025 at the Provincial Management Development Training Institute. The program was conducted for Land Officers and Land Subject Officers of all Divisional Secretariats in the Ratnapura District, with the participation of resource persons from the Land Commissioner General’s Department.


Seiri Week” Begins Across Government Institutions

In support of the “Clean Sri Lanka” National Program, “Seiri Week” is being implemented in all government institutions island-wide from 1st to 4th September 2025.

As part of this initiative, the Land Commissioner General's Department has commenced activities to clean and organize its office premises. Unnecessary items are being removed, and steps are being taken to maintain the office environment in an orderly and sustainable manner.

This program aims to create a cleaner, healthier, and more efficient workplace culture across the public service.
